overview
Likuliku is just a 10 minute seaplane or helicopter flight or a 1 hour boat transfer from Nadi (on Fiji's main island). This adults-only resort offers luxurious accommodation, world class cuisine and the perfect environment in which to relax and unwind. Likuliku means “calm waters” in the Fijian language, and from your bungalow you can certainly enjoy idyllic views across the turquoise seas to the surrounding Mamanuca Islands. Designed with the feel of a traditional Fijian village in mind, the resort beautifully combines local architecture and materials with modern luxuries which ensure a relaxing stay.
With only 46 bures, you are assured peace and tranquillity at Likuliku. The ten beautiful thatched roofed Overwater Bures are elegant and stylish in their design and feature rich fabrics, local artwork and glass panels in the floor to view the underwater world below. Spacious decks with steps lead you directly into the stunningly blue lagoon beneath you.
Likuliku’s Deluxe Beachfront Bures have the added advantage of a private plunge pool on the deck. Equally as stylish as their overwater counterparts, these 36 bures are nestled along the resort’s beachfront and gardens and boast wonderful lagoon views, outdoor showers and decks complete with relaxing day beds.
Gourmet meals are included in your stay at the resort and the menu changes daily. Pacific Rim flavours come alive in mini dégustation presentations for lunch and dinner, and dining at Likuliku will certainly be a highlight of your visit. The Dua Tale Bar (which means “one more” in Fijian) is the perfect place to enjoy a pre or post dinner drink and the Masima Bar (which is located on its own island accessible via a walkway from the resort) is a great spot for a sunset drink whilst taking in the stunning lagoon views.
Whether you laze in the spectacular horizon-edge swimming pool taking in the views of the distant islands, indulge in soothing treatments in the Tatadra Spa (which aptly means “House of Dreams”) or simply revel in the luxuriousness of your bure and the beauty of the setting, relaxation comes all too easily at Likuliku. Should you insist on being active, catamarans, kayaks, windsurfers and snorkelling gear are provided for guests' use and SCUBA diving can easily be arranged. It is well worth making time to visit the local village and there are bush walks and nature trails on the island which will reward you with spectacular views.
