Being within the tropics the Bazaruto Archipelago seldom gets cold, but on some evenings during the winter months of June and July a light jacket or pullover will be necessary. The summer months of November through to February can be extremely hot. This is also the rainy season, though storms seldom last long.
visa & entry requirements
All visitors require visas, which can be obtained from the various consulates or on arrival in Mozambique. We recommend that you apply for a visa prior to your journey, explaining the purpose of your visit well in advance of your planned visit. Visas can be obtained from Mozambican embassy at 21 FitzRoy Square, London, W1. Please contact them to find out what information you will need to present to obtain your visa. You will be liable for passenger tax, immigration tax and airport tax. The National Parks Board charges a once-off entrance in the Bazaruto Archipelago National Park. Domestic purchases are all inclusive of VAT.

No vaccinations are required. However,The Bazaruto Archipelago is a malaria area. Please consult your GP, doctor or pharmacist about a suitable malaria prophylactic. It is advisable to wear protective clothing such as long sleeve tops and long trousers in the evening and you should use insect and mosquito repellent. There is no pharmacy. It is a good idea to drink bottled water, which is readily available. NB: For expert opinion on all of these diseases and any more that are relevant to travel please always consult your doctor or GP. Comprehensive medical insurance is advised.
